Three Seas Local Government Congress is an international event, during which the representatives of science, economics and politics debate on dyplomacy, energetics, finances, economics, innovation, education, agriculture, transport, digital transformation, tourism, as well as cooperation among regions and cross-border area of Three Seas Iniciative (3SI).
Two editions of the Congress gathered nearly 2 000 people from 25 countries around the world in June 2021 and 2022. Panelists of last year’s edition gathered leaders of key economic sectors, political figures, as well as representatives of public administration and local governments. There were 11 ministers and deputy prime ministers from 7 countries (Bulgaria, Greece, Romania, Moldova, Ukraine, Lithuania, Latvia) and 4 ambassadors representing USA, Ukraine, Bulgaria and Lithuania. At the regional level, the Congress was visited by 12 delegations from the Three Seas region and 5 representing Ukraine, as well as entrepreneurs from more than a dozen countries. This year’s 3rd edition will be held on May 16-17, 2023.
An integral part of this year’s third edition of the Congress will be the signing of a document inaugurating the Three Seas Initiative Universities Network. This initiative aims to integrate the academic community and strenghten cooperation in the commercialization of knowledge and exchange of experience in the quality of education. The main goals of this initiative will be joint activities aimed at conducting research and projects, as well as implementing innovative actions in the field of educational quality. Universities from the 12 countries of the 3SI have been invited to join the initiative.
