The scientific conference entitled The Three Seas Universities Network towards the challenges of science and the region is the first in a series of international conferences organized as part of the activities of 3SUN. It is part of a series of political and economic events carried out by Poland in relation to international cooperation under the Three Seas Initiative (3SI) project, and is an opportunity to promote the achievements of the Polish scientific community. The theme of the conference will be Cooperation of the Three Seas region in the face of contemporary challenges. As part of the lectures and panel discussions we plan to discuss the opportunities and challenges faced by the countries and regions cooperating within the framework of 3SI, as well as the role of the university community to learn about the condition of societies in the changing world of geopolitical, technological and social transformation. The conference will provide an opportunity to exchange views and academic thought, as well as to pose hypotheses in attempt to answer the most significant challenges related to the condition of societies. The conference will also contribute to the development of specific solutions involving the academic community in the development of the 3SI, as well as allowing the progress of joint programs and tools aimed at strengthening cooperation among universities, integrating the community of modern researchers and enabling the training of new elites and leaders of the region.
The conference will include the official inauguration and ceremonial signing of the membership declaration of 3SUN, laying the foundation for further academic cooperation among member universities. The 3SUN conference is planned as a recurring event.
